Hi! I’m Dr. Jordan Shapiro

board-certified Adult Gastroenterologist, and founder of Gentle GI.

In addition to caring for patients with common GI concerns, I have specific expertise in disorders of gut-brain interaction (e.g. irritable bowel syndrome or IBS), inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, pelvic floor disorders, GI complications of eating disorders, and transition from pediatric to adult GI care.

I embrace evidence-based medicine, multidisciplinary care, and trauma-informed care and love to think outside of the box. I welcome and celebrate patients from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including those who identify as LGBTQ+ and those with histories of trauma.

At Gentle GI, your story matters. You are the most important part of your healthcare team, and I look forward to partnering with you on your path to gut health and well-being.
